When travelling overseas specifically for medical reasons, you will need a Medical Travel Insurance policy; a normal policy will not cover you for the specific needs you may come across and may not cover you for any part of your trip if they learn your main purpose is for Medical reasons.

There will be detailed instructions for making claims when you take out a policy and this will be detailed in the documents you receive.

Below are the areas Wotmed MTI policy will include or exclude depending on the areas you intend to travel to.

Europe

All European union countries other than the UK but including Iceland, countries west of the Ural mountains, Mediterranean islands, the Azores, the Canary Islands, Madeira.
Worldwide
excluding Canada, Caribbean Islands, Mexico and USA*

Excludes Afghanistan, Bermuda, Canada, Caribbean Islands, Central African Republic, Chechnya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Israel (West Bank and Gaza Strip), Libya, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, USA and Yemen.
Worldwide
This option is only available for Trips to receive IVF treatment.

Means Worldwide excluding Afghanistan, Bermuda, Central African Republic, Chechnya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Iraq, Israel (West Bank and Gaza Strip), Libya, Mali, Nigeria, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria and Yemen
The insurance does not cover any travel to any country which the Foreign and Commonwealth Office or Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade have advised against all but essential travel.
